Raymond Kohn
was born in 1977 in Richmond, Virginia. The Dukes of Hazzard© first
aired in January of 1979 and as a small child, it made a
big impression on him. Ray was obsessed. His parents could
not keep him from the television when it would air. As he
would eat his dinner in front of the T.V., watching the Duke
boys race around in their General Lee, during commercial
breaks Ray would dream about the day when he would be old
enough to have a General Lee of his own.

Ray at 5 years old in 1982. Take notice of the General Lee t-shirt in the
photo on the right and the General Lee car in the photo on the left.
Even after all these years, some things never change!!!
As Ray got
older he continued to watch The Dukes of Hazzard© up
until the series ended in 1985. As with any young adult, other interests
took over and Ray had forgotten about The Dukes of Hazzard© altogether.
In the mid-1990's a television station called The Nashville
Network® (TNN) started airing old episodes of The Dukes
of Hazzard© and it rekindled that same love affair with
the General Lee he had had as a little boy.
To make his childhood dream come true, Ray immediately started
looking for a late 60's Dodge Charger to start building his
own 'General Lee'. Ray came across his first Dodge Charger for $800
and the building process began. As Ray was building his 'General
Lee' he thought it would be cool if he had a Hazzard County
Sheriff's police car so he found the right year and make as the one in the series and began
building it. After seven long years of blood, sweat, tears
and whole lot of money, the 'General Lee' and the 'Hazzard
County Sheriff' police car were completed!
As fate would
have it, Ray finished his cars just as the motion picture
version of The Dukes of Hazzard© was about to
be released. The video music channel, MTV, approached Ray about
using his cars in a show called, "Your Movie Show" which
aired in 2005. Since then, Ray has done shows with the original
television cast members including "Bo Duke" himself,
John Schnieder, Ben Jones as "Cooter", and James
Best as "Rosco"!
Ray says, "Thinking back when I was a child, I would
have done anything to have the opportunity to see the General
Lee, let alone ride in it! We are here to give this special
opportunity to "Dukes of Hazzard©" fans of all
ages."
